Just less than 2 weeks ago on March the 9th, Starbucks opened up its latest concept store, and the first one in Europe, inside the Amsterdamsche Bank located in Rembrandt Square (Amsterdam). The store, nicknamed 'The Bank', because it was placed inside an old bank volt, was designed by Liz Muller, the Starbucks Concept Director, and is the biggest Starbucks in Europe. All designers, craftspeople and materials were locally sourced which gives the place that authentic Dutch feel, while still keeping the overall modern and welcoming Starbucks look. The place is beautifully designed and is really quirky, as are the other concept stores.
Another Starbucks concept store is the reclaimed shipping containers drive-thru, located in Washington, US.
This store is also great! And the idea of creating unusual places will most likely create more business for Starbucks.
